G&M Farms To Host Free Pumpkin Giveaway As Community Thanks

LIVERMORE CA — G&M Farms, the Livermore locale legendary for its pumpkin patch and corn maze, is planning two pumpkin giveaways this month to thank locals for their patronage — as the farm remains closed for this year's Halloween season.

The East Airway Boulevard business announced last month that due to the pandemic it would not open for fall 2020 — a first in its 25-year history.

But in a show of appreciation to its quarter-century of fans, G&M will host drive-thru events Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 -18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., handing out free pumpkins to participants.

"As a thank you to the community for years of support and patronage, we will be giving away approximately 3,000 free pumpkins, while supplies last," G&M Farms said.

The limit is one pumpkin per person and four pumpkins max per vehicle.

Visitors should enter through the Gate 3 corn maze parking lot, and will then be routed to the pumpkin field. G&M Farms staff, masked for health-safety, will load pumpkins into cars. Vehicles then exit via Gate 1.

Patrons will not be permitted to exit vehicles, must follow posted rules, speed limits and any directions from G&M Farms staff while on site, managers said, adding that there will not be any public restrooms available.
