James Smith and Jaquavious Russaw, a pair of five-star linemen from G.W. Carver, released their top six schools Friday afternoon via Twitter.
Russaw will be continuing his recruitment with Alabama, Alabama State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Ohio State. Smith announced an identical top six about half an hour after Russaw.
Smith, a 6-4, 310-pound defensive tackle, is the No. 13 overall recruit in the Class of 2023 and No. 1 in Alabama. He began his high school career at Carver before playing his junior year at IMG Academy, but transferred back to Carver after the season.

Russaw, a 6-3, 235-pound edge rusher, is the No. 26 recruit in the country and No. 5 in Alabama. He had 130 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss and 16 sacks and was named a finalist for Class 6A Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a junior.
No Crystal Ball predictions for where Smith or Russaw will ultimately commit have been submitted on 247Sports.
