GA National Rodeo: The ‘toughest sport on dirt’ is coming to Perry. Here’s how to get tickets
Can I get a yeehaw? The rodeo is coming to town, ya’ll.
Feb. 23-25, the 33rd Annual Georgia National Rodeo will be at the Perry Fairgrounds and trust us when we say, it’s going to be buck wild.
This year the talent will be unmatched, as only the best cowboys and cowgirls will be holding onto their horses.
“Together with our Rodeo Contractor, Barnes Rodeo, we have been able to increase payouts to competitors by almost $13,000. By doing this, we will be attracting top-notch rodeo talent from all over the country. Increased talent means we will have some really incredible performances in store for spectators,” said Maggie Lane, marketing director for the Agricenter.
The ‘toughest sport on dirt’ will also feature bull riders, barrel racers, saddle bronc riders, tie-down ropers and more.
In addition, there will be plenty of vendors peddling Western fashion vendors, concessions, and large equipment retailers.
Tickets for the rodeo will go on sale Monday, Feb. 6, at 9 a.m. Tickets are $25 for kids ages 2-12, $30 for adults, and $35 for box level seats. Tickets can be purchased online at www.georgianationalrodeo.com.
A special Junior Livestock Show with cattle, hogs, sheep and goats will be held each day of the event, from 8 to 9 a.m. and is free for everyone.
Rodeo arena doors open at 6:30 every night and performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in Reaves Arena.
Be sure to follow the Georgia National Fairgrounds on Facebook for special ticket giveaways and other updates.
