Family Of Uber Driver Killed By Train Saves Another Car: Report

The family of a man killed by a train earlier this month in Duluth believes the man refused to leave his car not because he wanted to save the vehicle, but other lives, reported WSB-TV. The family was looking at the accident site when a vehicle got stuck on the tracks in the same spot and they got the driver to safety.

Two Amazon Drivers, Shot, Sue Amazon For $350M: Reports

Two Amazon Flex drivers are suing the company for $350 million after a customer shot them while making deliveries, according to reports. Attorneys for the former drivers, Lawyer Denson and Eduardo Gutierrez, said Amazon didn't provide them with reflective safety vests or company vehicles.

Aunt Fanny's Cabin To Move To Carroll County Beef Farm: Council

Three months after initially voting to demolish the crumbling Aunt Fanny's Cabin unless it was sold to someone else, Smyrna City Council members awarded a bid to a Carroll County beef farm to move the cabin to its property. The 19th century cabin, which once served as a sharecroppers' house and a famous Southern restaurant, hasn't been maintained and is deemed a safety hazard. The cabin — which also garnered a reputation for using derogatory depictions of Black people to entertain restaurant guests — is named after Fanny Williams, a longtime servant of some of Smyrna's first settlers.

Former President Donald Trump To Rally In Georgia

Former president Donald Trump is set to return to Georgia Saturday night. Trump will host his "Save America Rally" March 26 in Commerce to support former U.S. Sen. David Perdue's bid for governor.

Kemp Signs Bill Giving Extra Tax Refund To Eligible Georgians

More money will be sent to the bank accounts of Georgians who meet certain eligibility requirements through a bill Gov. Brian Kemp signed Wednesday. House Bill 1302 provides a one-time tax credit for taxpayers who filed returns for both 2020 and 2021 taxable years. Refund amounts range from $250 to $500.

These Are Best Places To Live In Georgia: Niche Rankings 2022

Lifestyle website Niche.com has branched out to include towns, and has just published its 2022 ratings for Georgia municipalities. The top 25 towns and neighborhoods are drawn from the neighborhoods and suburbs of Atlanta entirely.
