Boy, did we see some crazy performances in Week 8.

Initially, the list of standouts was seven names long. But with only four spots on the poll, here's who made the cut.

Adrian Curtis, P.K. Yonge

Curtis, the Blue Wave's sophomore quarterback, led P.K. Yonge to a 44-16 win over St. Joseph Academy on Friday night with a big passing night.

Curtis finished the night 11-for-16, good for 242 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. The effort earned Curtis a final QBR of 151.0, which was the best mark the sophomore has posted all season.

Kyree Edwards, Williston

Edwards, Williston's senior running back, put together a performance that was about as efficient as they come.

In Friday's 56-0 win over Trenton, Edwards carried the rock four times for the Red Devils and scored on each carry. Edwards tallied 149 rushing yards — good for 37.3 yards per carry — and four touchdowns.

The performance was Edwards' second four-touchdown game in a row.

Mike Moore, Newberry

Moore, a senior at Newberry, helped knock off the Eastside Rams 14-7 on Friday night.

Moore collected nine receptions in the win, tallying 172 receiving yards and scoring two receiving touchdowns for the Panthers.

The senior standout also played defensive back the entire game, picking up a handful of tackles and pass breakups.

Creed Whittemore, Buchholz

Whittemore, a senior at Buchholz, helped keep the Bobcats undefeated after a jaw-dropping performance in Buchholz's 45-31 district win over Oakleaf.

In the win, Whittemore went 24-for-31 (77%) through the air, good for 346 pass yards, five pass touchdowns and a QBR of 139.2.

Whittemore also added 50 rushing yards and a touchdown with his legs — bringing his total to six touchdowns on the night.
