Galion's Cooper Kent, Elijah Chafin earn Northwest District honors in Division II

FINDLAY — Two of the most prolific scorers in the area this season were teammates who helped power Galion to some memorable wins and gutsy performances.

Juniors Cooper Kent and Elijah Chafin were rewarded for their seasons by being named honorable mention by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Northwest District in Division II.

Kent finished the year averaging 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 36.2% from 3-point range and 84.3% from the free-throw line. Chafin was right there with 16.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game while shooting 81.3% from the free-throw line.
