Galleri Classic golf tournament 2023: Tickets, parking, schedule and more

What it is

The first Galleri Classic, the newest event on the PGA Tour Champions, features a strong field for the 50-and-over circuit. It will be played on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.

Who is playing

Almost all of the top players on the PGA Tour Champions are in the 78-player field at Mission Hills. That includes Bernhard Langer, who is tied for the all-time tour victories total with 45, and 2022 player of the year Steve Alker. Major champions in the field include Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, John Daly, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Darren Clarke, Retief Goosen, Lee Janzen, Sandy Lyle, Mark O'Meara, Jose Maria Olazabal, Corey Pavin, Jeff Sluman, David Toms, Mike Weir and Y.E. Yang. Other top players include Steve Stricker, Colin Montgomerie, John Cook and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

When

The 54-hole tournament begins Friday, March 24 and runs through Sunday, March 26. Two one-day pro-ams will be played Wednesday and Thursday (March 22-23).

Purse

The professionals are playing for $2.2 million, with the winner taking home $330,000.

Television

All three rounds will be broadcast by Golf Channel. Friday's coverage will be on tape delay from 8 to 10 p.m., with the Saturday and Sunday coverage live from 2 to 4 p.m.

How it works

Play in the 54-hole professional event will be Friday through Sunday, with no cut for the 78-player field. The two one-day pro-ams will be played Wednesday and Thursday. Tee times for the pro-am begin at 7 a.m. on the first and 10th tees of the course, with the afternoon wave starting at 11:30 a.m. Tee times in the 54-hole event will run from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on the first and 10th tees of the course.

Tickets

Single-day tickets good for any one day grounds-only admission between Wednesday, March 22 and Sunday, March 26 are $30. Weekly grounds tickets, good for grounds-only admission for competition rounds March 24-26, are $65.

Single-day clubhouse tickets, good any one day during competition rounds March 24-26 and providing access to Mission Hills Country Club’s clubhouse as well as upgraded dining and beverage options for purchase at the Champions Café inside the clubhouse, are $75. Weekly clubhouse tickets for all competition rounds March 24-26 are $150.

Parking

All general parking for event will be at the Agua Caliente Resort at the corner of Ramon Road and Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage. Shuttles will take fans to and from the course. Parking is $10. Fans may purchase tickets online in advance or purchase day-of parking onsite. Day of parking will be cash only, exact change is encouraged.

Cell phone policy

The PGA Tour has adopted a policy that allows fans to bring their cell phone onto the course during play. Cell phones must be set to silent (vibrate) and may be used in designated mobile device areas. Cell phones may not be used for photography or video.

Bag policy

No bags larger than 6″x6″ (including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags, or chair bags) are permitted through the gates. No clear, plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12″x6″x12″ are permitted through the gates.

Suggestions for viewing

Front Nine

The area behind the first green gives fans access to the first hole, the second tee, the sixth green, the seventh tee and the ninth fairway.

Back Nine

The area behind the 11th green provides viewing of the 11th hole, the 12th tee, the 16th fairway and green and the par-3 17th hole. Grandstands will surround the famed island green on the 18th hole.
