Galloway-based pizzeria takes over building that housed Mr. T’s in Gahanna

GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) – A Galloway-based pizzeria is opening in Gahanna, taking over the building that previously housed Mr. T’s Pizza.

Dough Boyz Pizza, located at 207 W. Johnstown Road, is holding its grand opening on Saturday, one week after Mr. T’s closed its doors.

The Gahanna eatery marks Dough Boyz Pizza’s second restaurant, with the first opening in 2022, located at 388 Hubbard Road in Galloway. The restaurant serves a variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas and subs, along with spaghetti and bone-in wings. Co-owner Melissa Pennington said the shop is known for its “Day’s Pepperoni Bomber” pizza.

Pennington said the pizza shop was opened in honor of her son, Daylan, who suffers from Huntington’s disease.

“Daylan is in his last stages of juvenile Huntington’s disease, so we hope to provide fun, laughter and happy memories with our pizza shops honoring his life,” Pennington said.

Daylan can be seen in the pizzeria’s logo. Dough Boyz Pizza will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Pennington said hours may change in the future.
