A new sports bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Adams Morgan, called The Game Sports Pub, is located at 2411 18th St. NW.

The newcomer offers American and international dishes — like Filipino beef pares, featuring braised beef brisket, garlic fried rice and a side of beef broth; and the Early Tailgate Burger, boasting Creekstone beef, dark-beer chili, jack and cheddar, a runny egg, mustard and a special sauce, served with fries or salad.

On the cocktail side, a FIlipino classic, the Weng Weng, packs a punch with bourbon, brandy, rum, tequila, gin, vodka, pineapple, orange and grenadine. There's also beer, wine and the daily punch.

The new sports bar has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Flo S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 25, wrote, "The first thing I tried here is the Lumpia Shanghai. It is full of flavor, nice and crispy, and has a good amount of meat inside. I could probably eat a dozen of these in one sitting, however my doctor probably would not approve. I also tried the Winter is Here drink, and it's delicious."

And D L. wrote, "My friends and I were so excited about this bar, and it did not disappoint! Quick and friendly service, no wild crowds, and tasty drinks and food. I tried the I Love BBC and Weng Weng cocktails, and they did not disappoint."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. The Game Sports Pub is open from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m.–3 a.m. on Friday, 1 p.m.–3 a.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m.–2 a.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
