Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3 trailer shows off biggest battle in television history: 'The Night King is here'

The first trailer for Game of Thrones season eight episode three has been released – and it’s terrifying.

HBO unveiled the first look at what cast and crew have been teasing for quite some time now – the battle between the living and the dead.

Fans will get to witness the extended sequence that wrapped filming last August. The shoot – which lasted for 11 weeks – doubled the record for the duration of any past battle sequence in the series.

This promo is the very first glimpse at the fight the series has been building to since day one. It shows the troops assembling, namely Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and new knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Ser Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).

The final season of Game of Thrones continues every Sunday. You can find a ranking of every character in the series here.
