Game of Thrones' series finale wasn't just divisive on social media. It was divisive among readers of this site as well.

Following the airing of season 8 episode 6 'The Iron Throne', Digital Spy asked if you loved or hated the conclusion to HBO's fantasy epic – and the vote was fairly split. But more people were disappointed than pleased.

Out of a total of 6,021 respondents, 55% gave the episode the thumbs down. 45% enjoyed how the series ended.

The series finale saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) killed by Jon Snow (Kit Harington). Meanwhile, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was named the new ruler of Westeros, with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) as his Hand, and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) becomes Queen in the North.

The final season has drawn plenty of criticism in the past few weeks, to the point where 1.5 million people have now signed a change.org petition asking for HBO to remake season 8.
