Game of Thrones star Lena Headey in first trailer for twisty new sci-fi thriller

Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey's new sci-fi series Beacon 23 has dropped its first trailer.
The show casts Headey as government agent Aster who winds up on the titular space station after her ship crashes.
Homecoming's Stephan James plays the Beacon's boss, Halan, and while he's courteous to her at first, things soon turn frosty as Aster demands to see the Beacon's data. Halan says he won't do that, as he doesn't know who Aster is and she is refusing to tell him.
The two will find that they need to put their trust issues aside and work together as the Beacon comes under attack.

Aster reckons that her crash landing on the Beacon wasn't an accident, and reckons that it's tied to why they are being attacked.
The show itself has had a tough journey to the screen, as its original production company Spectrum shut down. It was eventually picked up by MGM+ and will release in November.
MGM+ boss Michael Wright called the series "essential viewing for fans of premium science-fiction drama".
"Beacon 23 is a series in the best tradition of thought-provoking genre storytelling, [with the] incredible vision of Zak Penn and Glen Mazzara, riveting performances by Lena Headey and Stephan James, and an exciting world-building design."

Boat Rocker Media's David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg added: "We're delighted to bring Beacon 23 to MGM+ and introduce viewers to a world in the dark recesses of space where nothing is quite what it seems."
Meanwhile, Headey will star opposite Gillian Anderson in a Western from the creators of Sons of Anarchy.
Beacon 23 will air on MGM+ on November 12.
