Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel lands new TV role

Game of Thrones and Fast & Furious actress Nathalie Emmanuel has landed herself a new TV role.
As announced at this year's San Diego Comic-con, Emmanuel has joined the voice cast of animated series Ghosts of Ruin. She'll be playing Dr Angela Tucci, a character described by executive producer Katie Stippec (via Variety) as "a very monumental, pivotal character in the run of the show".
Showrunner Michael Ryan added: "She's pretty much running the neural reality. Everything I've watched Nathalie in, her acting is so strong and her sense of presence and strength really comes through and I really think that's going to be perfect.

"I've wanted her on the show from the very beginning, because I'm a big fan of hers. She's amazing. And I think the part she's playing is so perfect. I can't wait to record her."
As briefly touched on by the showrunner, Ghosts of Ruin is quite high-concept science-fiction, focusing on a group of gamers who take part in the first ever neural reality (like VR but directly into your brain) battle royale. The game, titled Ruin, gets infected by a virus and the things soon turn into a nightmare.
Ahsoka's Rosario Dawson and the MCU Spider-Man trilogy's Tony Revolori have also been cast in the project, with Hans Zimmer's Bleeding Fingers Music providing the score.

Ghosts of Ruin is set to debut later this year through the Web3 company Gala Film website, with the team behind it hoping to work with a streaming service on a wider release.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel has also been announced for the lead role in a remake of action movie The Killer, alongside Lupin's Omar Sy.
Ghosts of Ruin will premiere in September 2023.
