Game of Thrones’ Rory McCann and Ted Lasso's Ellie Taylor have joined the cast for the Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off series, Knuckles.
The pair, who played Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane and Flo ‘Sassy’ Collins in their respective shows, will join the Paramount+ series, which sees Idris Elba reprise the role of Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (via Variety).
McCann, who has also appeared in Hot Fuzz and Jumanji: The Next Level, will reportedly have a guest-role in the series; Taylor, who recently competed on Strictly Come Dancing and will co-host Cheat alongside Danny Dyer, will have a larger part to play in the spin-off.

The series will reportedly be set between the events of the second film and the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is currently scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024. The narrative will follow Knuckles as he “agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.”
In addition to Elba, McCann and Taylor, the new cast for the series includes Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt and Scott Mescudi; Tika Sumpter and Adam Pally will both reprise their roles from the films. Jeff Fowler, the director for both films in the franchise, will helm the pilot episode and executively produce the series.
The official media channels for the franchise celebrated the news with a teaser photo and announcement that production was now underway, with the caption reading: “He’s only been training for this his entire life.
