Dec. 10—KALAMAZOO, Mich. — UND goaltender Drew DeRidder posted a 25-save shutout in his home state of Michigan against a team that entered the weekend ranked No. 1 in the nation offensively. UND won 3-0 to grab five of six points on the weekend.

UND 1, WMU 0 — Judd Caulfield (Jackson Blake, Chris Jandric) 6:46 (pp). UND elects to put Caulfield in the bumper spot on the power play instead of Gavin Hain on the first unit and it instantly pays off. Caulfield continues his torrid scoring run against Western Michigan by re-directing a Blake one-timer past Broncos goalie Cameron Rowe.

UND 2, WMU 0 — Nick Portz (Chris Jandric, Ryan Sidorski) 8:26. Sidorski is aggressive in the offensive zone to start some offensive pressure for UND. He wheels it around the net and gets it to Jandric at the point. Jandric snaps a shot on net and Portz pokes home the rebound for his first goal of the season.
UND 3, WMU 0 — Dylan James (Tyler Kleven) 17:11 (en). James uses his excellent speed to win a puck race in the defensive zone, chip it to center, beat a defenseman and take it all the way to the net for an empty-netter.
