GameCenter final: UND 4, Miami 1

Jan. 27—OXFORD, Ohio — UND used 27 saves from Drew DeRidder and goals from Jackson Blake, Carson Albrecht, Tyler Kleven and Matteo Costantini to get a 4-1 win over Miami in the series opener.

When: Drew DeRidder, UND, 27 saves.

Second star: Tyler Kleven, UND, 1 goal, 1 assist.

Third star: Carson Albrecht, UND, 1 goal.

UND 1, Miami 0 — Jackson Blake (Riese Gaber, Chris Jandric) 4:18 (pp). UND's power play continues to be red hot as it converts on its first chance of the game. Gaber has the puck in the right circle and draws the attention before dishing it to Blake in the left circle. Blake one-times it past Miami goalie Ludvig Persson for the game's first goal.

UND 2, Miami 0 — Carson Albrecht (Nick Portz, Tyler Kleven) 12:13. Kleven flips a pass from the defensive zone to the neutral zone, where Portz taps it ahead. Albrecht and Miami defenseman Robby Drazner race after it. Albrecht wins the race, gets behind Drazner, uses his body to shield the defender and snipes it high stick side for his second goal of the season.

UND 3, Miami 0 — Tyler Kleven (Judd Caulfield, Ben Strinden) 2:41. UND extends the lead early in the second period. Caulfield has the puck along the half wall and sees Kleven stepping in from the point. Caulfield gives him the puck and Kleven rips one past Persson for his sixth goal of the season.

UND 4, Miami 0 — Matteo Costantini (Owen McLaughlin, Judd Caulfield) 1:54. Caulfield makes an excellent zone entry stickhandling his way through Miami defenders. McLaughlin picks up the puck from Caulfield, circles the net and leaves a feed in front Costantini, who buries it. It's No. 2 of the year for Costantini.

UND 4, Miami 1 — Hampus Rydqvist (William Hallen, Max Dukovac) 11:16 (pp). Miami finally cashes in on its fifth power-play chance of the night. Rydqvist gets the puck at the top with space. He steps in and buries it.
