Nov. 5—OMAHA, Neb. — No. 10 UND opened National Collegiate Hockey Conference play with a 4-1 win over Omaha. Riese Gaber scored twice, while Nick Portz and Owen McLaughlin each had two assists. UND outshot Omaha 38-22.

Jandric has it at the top and slides a pass over to Frisch in the left circle. Frisch hammers a one-timer past Omaha goalie Jake Kucharski.
UND 2, Omaha 0 — Jackson Kunz (Nick Portz, Cooper Moore) 2:07. UND tacks on a a second goal in the span of 15 seconds. Portz springs Kunz on a rush up the right side. Kunz rifles a shot on net that Kucharski stops, but Kunz follows it up and deposits the puck on his backhand.

UND 3, Omaha 0 — Riese Gaber (Owen McLaughlin) 13:51. UND tacks on a third goal in the period on a rush. McLaughlin enters the zone in the middle with the puck, pulls up and lets the play develop. Then, he dishes to Gaber in space and UND's best goal-scorer snipes one.

UND 3, Omaha 1 — Jonny Tychonick (Victor Mancini, Ty Mueller) 19:04. Omaha gets one back in the final minute of the period. After winning an offensive zone faceoff. Tychonick slaps one from the point that hits UND goalie Drew DeRidder and pops up and over him.

Portz outbattles Omaha's Tyler Rollwagen for a loose puck in the neutral zone, then fights through a Kirby Proctor check along the boards to get space and set up Gaber, who snaps a shot from the inside of the circle five-hole on Kucharski.
