Nov. 12—GRAND FORKS — No. 2 Denver is playing at No. 12 UND in the finale of their two-game series. Denver won the series opener 3-2.

UND 1, Denver 0 — Judd Caulfield (Dylan James, Jake Schmaltz) :07. UND scores just seven seconds into the game as James skates it up the left side, centers it to Caulfield, who makes a tremendous play to kick the puck from behind him to the front. Then, he snaps it by goalie Magnus Chrona's glove for his second goal of the season.

UND 1, Denver 1 — Carter Mazur (Casey Dornbach, Massimo Rizzo) 3:41 (pp). Denver finally rewarded for its possession. With Griffin Ness in the penalty box for hooking, Denver connects on a nice passing play as Rizzo hits Dornbach in the middle of the ice before Dornbach dishes to Mazur cutting up the right side. Mazur snipes the corner of the net on Jakob Hellsten. It was Denver's 18th shot of the game.

Denver 2, UND 1 — Justin Lee (Jack Devine, Mike Benning) 7:40. Denver hems UND in its own end on an extended shift with Gavin Hain shaken up and the Pioneers take advantage. Lee hammers a point shot through traffic and past Hellsten to give the Pioneers their first lead of the game.
