UND 1, SCSU 0 — Matteo Costantini (Judd Caulfield) 11:45. Caulfield picks a puck out of midair at the defensive blue line to break up a Husky rush, then he picks it up, walks around a Husky player in the neutral zone and dishes to Costantini to create a three-on-two. Costantini snaps a shot past Husky goalie Dominic Basse for his first goal of the season. St. Cloud State challenges the goal as Caulfield played the puck with a high stick. But the officials determined it did not have a direct impact on the goal and let it stand.
UND 2, SCSU 0 — Gavin Hain (Jackson Blake, Chris Jandric) 15:46 (pp). UND takes advantage of its second power-play chance of the night. Hain helps UND win a faceoff by knocking a 50-50 puck back to Jandric. He tees one up for Blake, who hammers a one-timer to the net. Basse makes the save, but Hain pounces on the rebound for his eighth of the season.
UND 3, SCSU 0 — Riese Gaber (Chris Jandric, Jake Schmaltz) 1:41 (pp). Jackson Blake draws a UND power play and the Fighting Hawks convert as Jandric gives it to Gaber in his spot, and the UND junior snipes one for his 11th of the season.
UND 3, SCSU 1 — Brendan Bushy (Grant Cruikshank, Adam Ingram) 2:04. St. Cloud State quickly responds just 23 seconds later on a four-on-two rush. Cruikshank makes a nice play to drop the pass to Bushy and the Thief River Falls product picks the corner for his second of the year.
