Happy Friday, readers. I'm Jolene Almendarez, I report out of Northern Kentucky, and I have my dollar bills ready to hit up some community garage sales this weekend.

My love for garage sales runs deep. It reminds me of Saturday mornings with my mom. We didn't have a lot of money growing up, but I knew garage sale days meant picking out toys from a 25-cent bin and adding a few more books to my little library.

Nowadays, secondhand shopping has taken on a life of its own. A 2023 report says people are buying more used goods to stretch their budgets.

I've rounded up a few of the community garage sales happening in Northern Kentucky over the next few weeks. So, whether you're trying to make every dollar count or you're just hardwired to bargain hunt (like me!), I hope you enjoy the list. You can find it here.
