Garden State Pavilions adding two new retailers
CHERRY HILL - A California-based retailer that sells 4X4 and off-road products is opening its first New Jersey store here.
4 Wheel Parts will hold a soft opening during the week of May 15 at the Garden State Pavilions on westbound Route 70 at Cornell Avenue. A grand opening celebration will take place June 4.
The firm is one of two chains expanding to the Cherry Hill shopping center.
A Boot Barn, which offers western and work-related apparel, footwear and accessories, is expected to open later this summer.
4 Wheel Parts operates 102 stores across the country.
The Compton-based chain sells and installs after-market parts and accessories. It also offers gear "for the outdoor/camping lifestyle," according to a statement released Thursday.
The company describes itself as the largest retailer of 4x4 and off-road products "in the growing $10-plus billion truck, Jeep and 4X4 accessory market."
Its Cherry Hill store will operate weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
It will be closed on Sundays.
Boot Barn, a 303-store chain based in California, is expected to occupy a former Modell's Sporting Goods store at the Cherry Hill complex.
The retailer, also new to South Jersey, is opening a store in Millville, too.
The company on May 10 reported an annual profit of $192.5 million, compared to $59.4 million in its previous fiscal year.
It said net sales rose 66.6 percent to $1.48 billion.
A company executive said Boot Barn now has a long-term goal of operating 900 stores.
