Sep. 30—NEW LONDON — People participated Saturday in the Garden Walk for Food Justice held by FRESH New London. The group visited five FRESH gardens in neighborhoods around the Mercer Street Community Gardens and Education Center.

The other gardens are the Broad Street Snack Beds, Ledyard Street Community Garden, McDonald Park Community Garden and Cottage Street Urban Farm.

Food justice is aimed at ensuring access to nutritious, affordable, and culturally-appropriate food.
