RAIN BARRELS AND WORM COMPOSTING WORKSHOPS: 9 to 11 a.m. May 14, UF/IFAS Extension Polk County, 1702 S. U.S. 17, (1702 Spessard Holland Parkway), Bartow. $45. Register to attend one or both workshops. 9 a.m.: Using Rain Barrels to Save Water, $25. Includes a pre-assembled rain barrel with a hose bibb. 10 a.m.: Composting with Worms, $45. Includes a 10-gallon worm farm with tray and a bag of worm castings. Preregistration preferred. Supplies limited for day of class registration for paid registrations. Cash or check only at the door.
