GARDEN CLUB OF LAKELAND: Fourth Annual January All Circle Meeting, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20, United Women's Club Building, 1515 Williamsburg Square, Lakeland. Guest Speaker: Heath Fredericks, Public Works Director for the city of Lakeland. Honored Guest: Dale W. DeFeo of Estero, director, District IX, Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. Luncheon prepared by Alicia Harner and Larry Holmes, members of the club's Sturdy Oak Circle, will be provided. Cost for the meeting and luncheon is $12 per person. The Garden Club of Lakeland founded in 1929 has 130 members divided into seven Circles, each Circle meets monthly from September through May at different times of day or evening. Various programs are planned to educate members on such subjects as gardening, horticulture, botany, floral design and landscape and promotes environmental awareness through conservation of natural resources, civic beautification and nature studies.
