New at The Gardens Mall: Seven stores, restaurants are open or opening soon

PALM BEACH GARDENS — Shoppers have seven new and expanded options at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.

From dining to drinks to sportswear and skincare, here’s a look at the latest offerings announced this week by the largest commercial retail center in northern Palm Beach County.

Fit2Run

This Bradenton-based mall mainstay recently moved to a larger location on the upper level, near Sears on the mall’s east side.

Billed as the “Runner’s Superstore,” Fit2Run offers a variety of shoes for walking, running, casual workouts and seasoned athletes. The larger store provides shoppers with more space for browsing both footwear and apparel.

Fit2Run in the summer of 2023 moved into a larger space at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, one that allows more display space for shoes and apparel.

Tap 42 Craft Kitchen and Bar

Just across from Fit2Run’s new location, Tap 42 will open before the end of the year on the upper level near Sears.

This will be the 10th location for the South Florida-based chain, which has one other Palm Beach County restaurant in Boca Raton.

Tap 42 is known for its casual vibe and selection of craft beers. The Gardens Mall location will be Tap 42’s largest at about 8,000 square feet, the mall has said.

Chicken and waffles are a featured item at Tap 42, a restaurant that will open during 2023 at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.

Another longtime mall tenant, Tommy Bahama recently opened in a larger space with a new look and feel, including the Marlin Bar, a happy hour and quick bites-style dining destination designed to inspire shoppers to spend more time in the store.

The expanded location opened June 20 on the upper level of the mall, near Nordstrom.

The menu includes the coconut shrimp appetizer — the most popular item on the menu, according to Tommy Bahama — and and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders, which company CEO Doug Wood said is his favorite dish to order.

“You don’t feel like you’re in an indoor mall,” he said. “That’s kind of the secret of the Marlin Bar.”

L'Occitane en Provence

Another recently expanded location, L’Occitane en Provence is now in a larger store on the lower level in the Grand Court.

The French beauty and skincare brand offers a range of serums, lotions, body creams, soaps and more, many made with natural plant extracts and essential oils.

Elie Tahari

Opening this fall on the upper level near Nordstrom, across from the new Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar and Store, Elie Tahari is a global fashion brand that is sold in more than 600 stores in more than 40 countries, according to the company’s website.

This will be the only Elie Tahari store in Palm Beach County. The brand has two other Florida stores, in Aventura and Pembroke Gardens.

The brand’s eponymous founder is credited with popularizing the tube top after immigrating to New York City from Israel in the 1970s.

Nike Rise

This new concept store from the sneaker giant opens this year on the lower level near Bloomingdale’s, across from the Apple Store.

The first Nike Rise store opened in July 2020 in China, moving next to Seoul, South Korea, and then London before opening a first U.S. location in Aventura.

The digital-forward concept offers digital returns, curbside pickup and buy-online-pickup-in-store options.

The technology allows Nike to personalize each shopping experience with the introduction of Sport Pulse, “a digital storytelling platform that integrates sports and athlete data throughout the shopping experience,” the mall said.

Vuori

This men’s and women’s athletic apparel retailer opens this year on the lower level near Bloomingdale’s, near Aerie and Warby Parker.

Founded in 2013 in California, the brand has become popular with celebrities who tout Vuori’s comfort and durability, as well as the company’s sustainable practices.
