Gas prices hit a 7-year high in U.S. Here's where to find the cheapest gas in Canton
We're continuing to pay more at the gas pump.
AAA is reporting that gas prices have hit a seven-year high as customers are continuing to see higher prices with holiday travel days coming soon.
National gas prices have increased 1.8 cents since last week, according to GasBuddy and are at $3.41 per gallon as of Monday.
GasBuddy also reports that the national average is up 15.1 cents from a month ago, and $1.31 from a year ago.
According to the American Auto Association, Michigan experienced the largest weekly increase in gas prices at an additional 16 cents a gallon, followed by Ohio (+14 cents), Indiana (+11 cents), Arizona (+7 cents), New Mexico (+5 cents), Illinois (+5 cents), Minnesota (+3 cents), Oklahoma (+3 cents), New Hampshire (+3 cents) and Texas (+2 cents).

Where you can find cheap gas in Canton?
As of Wednesday morning, GasBuddy reported the cheapest gas stations around Canton at membership-based Sam's Club at Portage Street in North Canton at $3.11 per gallon. The Sheetz on West State Street in Alliance, Circle K locations on 12th Street Northwest and Fulton Drive Northwest and the Speedway on Hills and Dales Road Northwest all report prices at $3.17 per gallon.
GasBuddy official says help is on the way
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, said that the country should see "small declines this week in a majority of the country, thanks to the corresponding drop in wholesale gasoline prices."
