Gaston College students can earn guaranteed admission to NC State

Gaston College students who earn good grades will be guaranteed admission to N.C. State University upon completion of an associate degree under a new agreement between the two schools.

The two schools will enter into a Community College Collaboration Agreement to formalize the deal. Gaston College students must graduate with a 3.0 grade point average or better to take advantage of the arrangement.

Gaston College also will sign an agreement between its Textile Technology program and the the Wilson College of Textiles at North Carolina State.

Gaston College, along with Catawba Valley Community College, will become the first colleges in Western North Carolina to become part of the Community College Collaboration Agreement with North Carolina State University.
