Gaston County holds its last Household Hazardous Waste event of the year Saturday
This is it! Our last Household Hazardous Waste Event for 2022 will be Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at the Dallas Park, 1303 Dallas Cherryville Highway in Dallas.
If you missed our last collection, our collection facility has been moved slightly from the previous location. Please follow the signs to the building. As you enter the park from the highway, pass the first parking area to your right, at the fork, stay right, at the next opportunity to turn, make a right and pass between the horse stalls.
You will see the building in front of you. We have had great success with customers boxing their items so we can more easily and quickly remove from their vehicles. So, if you can, please place your items in boxes; we can return them should you care to reuse. So for the record, here are the items we accept:
Oil-based and water-based (latex) paints
Stains, deck finishes, paint thinner
Aerosol paints
Craft paints
Kerosene, old gas, gas-oil mixtures, lantern fuel (tiki torch)
