Gaston County Schools recognized students who were named recipients of the "Do The Right Thing," award throughout the year during a Honey Hunters pregame ceremony.

On Tuesday, May 17, more than a dozen students were honored at CaroMont Health Park, located at 800 W. Franklin Blvd., in Gastonia.

Every year Gaston County Schools recognizes four students each month from October through April who set themselves apart by doing things that make a difference in the lives of others without expecting anything in return.

Students recognized were treated to a picnic with their parents at the game to celebrate their accomplishments.
