Gastonia motorcyclist killed in Charlotte wreck

A 56-year-old Gastonia man died Saturday, May 28, after wrecking his motorcycle on I-485 in Charlotte, according to the Highway Patrol.

Ronnie Lane was traveling south on I-485 Outer between the Steele Creek and Arrowood exits when he lost control of his motorcycle, ran off the road to his left and struck a guardrail, according to the Highway Patrol.

Lane was ejected from the motorcycle before it came to a rest. He died at the scene of the wreck.
