GBI arrests suspect for 2022 shooting of 14-year-old boy
THOMSON, Ga. (WJBF) – On February 8th, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested 18-year-old Jaden West and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
The charges originated from a shooting incident that took place on Second Street in Thomson on August 25, 2022, where a 14-year-old juvenile was shot.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
The GBI was requested by the Thomson Police Department to assist with the investigation.
The investigation will be turned over to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
