An investigation is underway by state investigators into the shooting death of a man who was fatally shot on Sunday by Barrow County sheriff’s deputies.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Monday that Robert Reynolds Sr., 60, was shot and killed by deputies who responded to his home for a domestic disturbance.

The GBI said deputies responded after 8 p.m. to Reynolds’ home on Thorn Brook Circle in Bethlehem.

The GBI reported that upon arrival, the deputies were confronted by an armed man, identified as Reynolds.
