GBI: Man arrested for Child Cruelty after 4-year-old shows up at school w/injuries
WARREN COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – On February 8th, GBI was requested to assist the Warren County Sheriff’s Office with a child cruelty investigation.
That same day, Warren County School Officials noticed that a 4-year-old student had arrived at school and had several visible injuries to their lower extremities.
School officials immediately contacted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) concerning the injuries.
The GBI and Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Eddie Harris with Cruelty to Children in the 1st Degree.
Harris is currently being held at the McDuffie County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and will be provided to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
