Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court adds part-time magistrate

Dec. 5—Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Timothy J. Grendell has sworn in staff attorney Michael Hurst as a part-time magistrate.

"I am excited to begin a new chapter in my legal career by being appointed part-time magistrate for Geauga County Probate and Juvenile Court," Hurst said. "I look forward in serving in this role and being able to serve the residents of Geauga County. I appreciate all the support and encouragement from Judge Grendell, Magistrate King, my colleagues, and my family."

Grendell added, "with the addition of Mr. Hurst as part-time magistrate, Geauga County will have the level of jurists commensurate with similar sized counties, which will increase Geauga County residents' access for court services, especially due to the increasing needs for Probate Court services as the county's population ages."
