Geena Davis lists charming Pacific Palisades home at $6 million. Fireplace alone is must-see

Actress Geena Davis has listed her picture-perfect home in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood for $5.995 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Built in 1999, the home last changed hands in 2007 for $4.19 million, according to realtor.com.

In describing the home, one might start with its awesome and unusual fireplace. Yes, the fireplace. Architectural Digest reported that the all-white carved face with an open mouth where the flames roar is the Roman god Neptune.

The rest of the home is all charm and romance.

“This stately, elegant, yet warm, inviting home will captivate from the moment you enter, according to the listing.

Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined cul de sac, the five-bedroom, six-bath home spans 5,146 square feet and sits on just over 0.4 acres of land. The Mediterranean-style house features “volumes of space, clean lines, gorgeous wood floors, high ceilings and French doors throughout,” according to the listing.

The kitchen displays bright splashes of color over a brick-colored floor. The countertops are dark gray stone and the tile backsplash is patterned, while the cabinets are painted robin’s egg blue.

The home has a family room and a guest suite that gives direct access to the backyard gardens. One of the bedrooms has a Japanese-style mural on the wall depicting an ocean wave.

The listing agent is David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.

Davis, 64, starred in the films “Thelma & Louise” (1991) and “A League of Their Own” (1992). She earned an Oscar for her supporting role in “The Accidental Tourist (1988).”
