Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez baby news has pair ‘beyond excited’
Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez are expecting their first child together.
The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, announced the news on Instagam – with a little help from their pet dogs.
Atkinson posted a picture of Norman and Ollie brandishing signs which read: “Guess what… mum’s pregnant! We’re going to be big brothers!”
The former Emmerdale actress told fans they are “beyond excited,” but kept schtum on dates and the gender of their unborn child.

Atkinson captioned the post: “And what Amazing big brothers they will be! Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already.”
Marquez also shared the image alongside the caption: “Thank you for the greatest gift in life. Myself and Gem are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our new family member later this year! Baby Marquez Norm and ollie can’t wait to start their big brother duties.”
The couple were inundated with congratulatory messages from fans and friends including Gemma Collins and Candice Brown who posted a string of red heart emojis.
Charlotte Hawkins, who starred on the same Strictly series as Atkinson, wrote: “Ahh such fabulous news - congratulations!! Lots of love xxx.”
Lorrain Kelly posted: “Wonderful news! Congratulations to you both.”
The announcement comes a day after the happy couple gave fans a sneak peek at their Manchester home on Lorraine after recently moving in together.
Showing off their new pad, Atkinson joked Marquez's house-rules quickly went out of the window. “I've got two dogs and he said they shouldn't be on the bed, but within a few hours they were back in the bedroom,” she said.
