Gene and Marlene Epstein challenge Intell GAC donors to raise $175K, will match with $25,000

This holiday season, philanthropists Gene and Marlene Epstein are stepping up for the low-income community in Bucks County by pledging $25,000 to the Intelligencer’s Give a Christmas campaign if it hits $175,000 to make a total of $200,000 available to struggling community members.

You, as the community, can directly impact a local family because your gift becomes food on the table, clothing and shoes, necessary medications, holiday gift cards, utility bill assistance, transportation help, and many other needs.

The Bucks County Opportunity Council can only provide Give a Christmas assistance with your generosity. You can make a genuine difference this holiday season by supporting the most vulnerable families in our county. The extra money it takes to fill the gas tank and the increased cost of food, means that there is nothing left for the holidays and other basic needs, which is why Gene and Marlene are offering this matching challenge this year.

“In searching for the most efficient nonprofit that takes care of the neediest people here in Bucks County, I found BCOC,” says Gene. “I have worked with them for years. I ask that you please help them help others and make your donation as soon as possible.”

For the past two years, Gene and Marlene have pledged $75,000 to the Give a Christmas campaign through matching gift challenges. They pledged $50,000 in 2020 and $25,000 last year, helping fund raise more than $200,000 each year, setting new records for giving.

These gifts were the first Gene and Marlene made to the Intelligencer’s Give a Christmas program, though they have supported the Lower Bucks campaign for many years.

Gene and Marlene are angels to so many families in need, and now so can you. Give A Christmas today!
