‘General Hospital’ star Kristina Wagner shares touching tribute of late son on his birthday, months after his death
“General Hospital” star Kristina Wagner is paying tribute to her late son Harrison Wagner on what would have been his 28th birthday.
The soap star, 60, took to Twitter Thursday in remembrance of her son, who was found dead in a Los Angeles parking lot earlier this year.
“Loving son, Harrison Hale Wagner, Dec 1, 1994-June 6, 2022. This picture was taken one year ago,” Wagner captioned a sweet photo of mother and son. “It was a happy birthday. I’m so grateful beyond words he was in my life.”
Harrison Wagner “lost his battle with addiction,” said his mother and father, fellow “General Hospital” costar, Jack Wagner, shortly after his death in June.
Almost exactly 6 years prior, the younger Wagner — then just 21 — went missing for several days after what was said to be a drug and alcohol relapse.
He was a “bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in,” his parents said following his death.
Wagner’s on-and-off girlfriend, actress Sophia Bui, took to Instagram following the tragedy to mourn the loss of the “balm that soothed my soul.”
“Seven years on and off, round and round we loved each other,” she wrote at the time. “For better or for worse. In sickness and in health. Sorry, I missed yr [sic] calls in the middle of the night these last few days. ... You were my guy. ... I will always choose to love you in this world and in any other life.”
