Geneseo's Conquest drum & bugle corps marches to gold

Members of Geneseo's Conquest Drum and Bugle Corps performed Aug. 12 at the Soundsport International Music & Food Festival in Indianapolis, IN, and brought home some hardware for their effort.

The corps brought home a Gold rating and the Best in Class (Youth Group under 50 Members) trophy.

Based in Geneseo, Illinois, Conquest is a member of SoundSport®, a program of Drum Corps International that provides a world-class stage for diverse groups with less restriction than traditional open or world class corps competition.

Conquest offers a local alternative to the traditional drum corps that makes competition affordable and accessible for young adults ages 14 to 21.
