Geneva County ATV crash kills one
GENEVA COUNTY, Ala (WDHN)– An early morning ATV crash in western Geneva County has left an Enterprise man dead.
Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson identified the victim as 40-year-old Jesse Duran Howell.
Adkinson says Howell was killed during an ATV crash at the intersection of Highway 85 and County Road 45 in Bellwood shortly after midnight on Friday, January 26.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Howell and his passenger, 33-year-old Deja Mathis of Daleville, were not wearing a seatbelt when the ATV crashed. Mathis was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Howell was pronounced dead on the scene.
