George Conway Goes on MSNBC, ‘Appalled’ by GOP Handling of Trump Impeachment Hearings

George Conway, who is known for constant criticisms of President Donald Trump on his Twitter account, appeared on MSNBC Wednesday morning, where he said that he is “appalled” by the GOP’s handling of the impeachment inquiry.

“Take that Republican hat off and look at it neutrally,” he said while talking to MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace. “Look at what you would have done if Donald Trump were a Democrat. Would you be making these ridiculous arguments about process?”

Conway, a conservative lawyer who is married to presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway, spoke broadly to Republicans in a rare television appearance that coincided with the impeachment hearings.

Conway then mentioned President Barack Obama, saying that if Obama did the same thing, Republicans would “be out for blood. And they’d be right.”
