Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams calls out Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) for not expanding Medicaid.

“In 38 States, they have expanded Medicaid and Medicaid expansion has worked to stave off the very crises that we are seeing here in Georgia. But Brian Kemp refuses to take the needed steps to fully expand Medicaid and bring funding back to Georgia. He has offered piecemeal solutions and half measures that have failed to solve any problem. Even the argument that had he been allowed to do his partial expansion that it would have had any impact is dubious because he we only I have covered 50,000 Georgians at a time when half a million Georgians should have access to this health care. But we know that as he offers these half-measures to get through an election year, he has no real plan for addressing the systemic failures he's not only well aware of he has been a part of creating.”
