Georgia DOE releases 2023 graduation rates. Here's how Athens area schools did

The Georgia Department of Education released 2023 graduation rates for all public high schools in the state.

Georgia hit a record with 84.4% of seniors graduating on time in the spring, marking the highest rate since the state began using its current calculation method, according to the DOE. The state's graduation rate is up nearly 15 percentage points since 2012, when it was less than 70%.

Below is a look at the graduation rates of Athens area school districts and individual schools.

Cedar Shoals High School - 69.5%

Classic City High School - "Too few students"

North Oconee High School - 98.6%

Oconee County High School - 94.7%

ALL Oconee County - 96.8%

Madison County 2023 graduation rate

Madison County High School - 92.7

Barrow County 2023 graduation rates

Apalachee High School - 90.1%

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy - 97.8%

Winder-Barrow High School - 91.9%
