Much commotion has been made by UGA football fans about the team's lack of a home night game this season.

Many hoped that Saturday's top-ranked matchup between No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Tennessee would be under Sanford Stadium's lights, but CBS picked up the game for its 3:30 p.m. SEC game of the week.

Before there's any more moans and groans from Bulldog faithful, the 3:30 time slot on CBS is the game SEC programs want to play each week since the network became a partner with the league in 1996.

Since CBS gets first choice most weeks during the season, it will select the best teams and the best games. The network gets one primetime night slot per season, and this year it used that choice on Texas A&M and Alabama.

CBS used its primetime pick in 2019 for Georgia's game against Notre Dame.

Saturday's 3:30 slot certainly beats playing at noon.

As Saturday's game is possibly the best ranked matchup to ever be played in Sanford Stadium, we took a look at CBS's greatest regular season games.
