Georgia man arrested for restraining teen

May 10—LENOIR — A Georgia man has been arrested after he restrained a 16-year-old girl, bringing her to Lenoir

Kenneth Lee Whitehead of 2607 Hancock Road, Social Circle, Georgia, has been charged with felonious restraint after he restrained the teen without her consent, moved her from where she was originally restrained (Georgia), and transported her in a Kenworth semi-truck, according to the warrant for arrest filed by Lenoir police. The incident reportedly happened Thursday, May 5.

Whitehead, who is a convicted felon, was also found in possession of a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol, the warrant states.

Whitehead was previously convicted of a theft in Superior Court in Walton County. He was sentenced to one year of confinement, with 10 years probation for the felony, according to the warrant.

Whitehead was arrested and booked at the Caldwell County Detention Center on Friday, May 6. He was charged with felonious restraint and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was jailed under $1 million secured bond.
