Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is not planning on leaving the organization any time soon. Chubb, who played four seasons of college football at the University of Georgia, has signed a contract extension with the Browns.

Chubb signed a three-year extension worth $36.6 million on July 31. More than half of his contract ($20 million) is fully guaranteed.

The Cleveland Browns found a gem in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft with Nick Chubb. Chubb suffered a major knee injury in college, but has only missed four games throughout his NFL career.

Nick Chubb’s career offers an interesting case study for the running back position. Chubb split carries most seasons with Sony Michel in college and is now sharing carries with Browns running back Kareem Hunt. Will Chubb’s shared backfield duties help elongate his NFL career? The Cleveland Browns certainly hope so.

Nick Chubb is quite deserving of his contract extension. The former Georgia star has averaged 1,186 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns per season throughout his three season NFL career.
