These Georgia restaurants are among the best in the nation, Yelp says
If you’re in search of your next favorite restaurant, look no further than the Peach State.
Five Georgia restaurants landed on Yelp’s Top 100 U.S. Restaurants list for 2022, earning national recognition. The state’s capital city of Atlanta is also home to three eateries that cracked the Top 50.
For the rankings, Yelp said it turned to users for their favorite restaurants.
“Then, we ranked each by total number of submissions, ratings, reviews, and geographic representation, among other factors,” according to the review website.
The five Georgia restaurants that made the cut are:
No. 32 — Fia Restaurant (Atlanta)
No. 37 — Whiskey Bird (Atlanta)
No. 43 — Red Phone Booth (Atlanta)
No. 51 — Brunch House Augusta (Augusta)
No. 93 — The Albert (Atlanta)
Fia Restaurant was ranked highest among Georgia restaurants on the list. The eatery, located in Atlanta’s swanky Buckhead community, serves Mediterranean-American fare and is best known for its whole grilled branzino with fennel-citrus salad, according to Yelp users. The lamb chops with coconut mint chutney are also a fan favorite.
“Fia specializes in prime meats, seafood, and vegetables infused with regional flavors and cooked on a wood-fired grill by chef and hotel owner Burges Jokhi,” the review website says. “Locals flock here for special occasions or a fun date night.”
On Fia’s Yelp page, customers also raved about the pork belly, octopus and wood-fired hummus. It received a 4.5-star rating from guests.
About two hours east of Atlanta, Brunch House Augusta gets plenty of praise for its breakfast, brunch and burgers. Locals flock there for Southern comfort staples such as shrimp and grits, according to Yelp, and lunch offerings that include sandwiches and pasta.
“Absolutely recommend!” one reviewer wrote. “Hands down the best breakfast/brunch place in all of Augusta. There wasn’t an item on my plate I didn’t eat.”
On its website, Brunch House owners said they “aim to grow and build our restaurant into a household name where our family feeds families.”
Guests rated the breakfast and lunch spot with 4.5 stars.
So which restaurant did Yelp rank as the best in America?
Cocina Madrigal, a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix, took the top spot this year, according to the review website.
