Georgia shooting leaves 2 dead, 5 injured on Easter Sunday. Investigators look for info

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a double homicide in Laurens County that also left five people injured early Sunday morning.

Miyori Ellington, 23, of Dublin, and Sacred Brown, 24, of Dublin were found dead after the Dublin Police Department responded to multiple gunshots around 2 a.m. in the 500 block of West Avenue in Dublin.

Investigators have determined that a vehicle stopped near the location of the shooting and people in the vehicle fired multiple shots at a crowd, according to a GBI press release.

Authorities say five victims, in addition to the two who died, were shot and treated at the hospital. Investigators said Sunday they have made no immediate arrests.

The investigation was still ongoing, and more details were expected to be released as they became available.
