Geraldo Rivera is urging President Trump to walk away with “grace and dignity.”

The veteran reporter read an “open letter” to his pal on Twitter Thursday where he praised the president’s battle against the pandemic, among other things.

“You came so close in this election, but time coming soon to say goodbye with grace and dignity,” Rivera said, “I know that’s hard to hear, but that’s the way I feel about this now.”

The 77-year-old Fox News correspondent said he felt “grave disappointment when (Trump) lost," but feels it’s time the nation, and the president moves on.

“Leave with your chin high in a week or so when the court fights no longer present a realistic long-shot chance to overturn the election, that’s very important,” Rivera said. “Fight, fight, fight like Hell as long as there is a realistic chance something can come of it.”

Rivera noted that overturning the vote count would be a “heavy lift” for Trump, who appears headed toward losing to president-elect Joe Biden by more than five million votes with nearly all the ballots counted.

“At the end of the week that’s coming, the week before Thanksgiving, you have to do the right thing, do the right thing for the nation,” Rivera urged the 45th president.

Trump continued alleging voter fraud Thursday on Twitter, where he also bashed Fox News.
