German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has confirmed the German government's refusal to supply Ukraine with Taurus long-range cruise missiles.

Quote from Pistorius: "If individual partners do this (provide long-range missiles – ed.), it is their sovereign decision. We have no intention of changing our position."
Details: He said that he saw no reason to criticise Germany, since his country, along with the US, provides the most aid to Ukraine.
Quote from Pistorius: "Without us, Ukraine's air defence would be completely impossible," Pistorius added.
Background:
At the end of May, Ukraine requested the German government to provide it with Taurus cruise missiles with a range of up to 500 kilometres, but the position of the German authorities "remains reserved."
Earlier in Vilnius, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the transfer of missiles that will allow Ukraine to land strikes in the deep rear of Russia.
Macron did not mention the specific name of the weapon, but most likely it was SCALP air-to-surface missiles – the same ones that are called Storm Shadow in the UK, as it is a Franco-British development.
